Ok... as silly as this thread is I do have a question. In my privacy and preferences I've selected not to show my online activity or that I'm logged in... but that green dot is still there and my recent activity is still there...
I've checked the boxes then unchecked them and saved and still... I've tried logging off and back on. The green dot and activity is still there..
What am I doing wrong?

It’s working as it should. You wouldn’t be able to view those restrictions from your own account’s perspective.
