Inserting gifs and photos

Newb question here - I can attach photos as a file ( normally after a resize) but for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to insert gifs or photos into a post?? WTF?

If the target website doesn't permit such outside hosting, they'll just get blocked by that website. Bandwidth costs money and some websites watch their bandwidth.

That's fine but I'd have assumed most, if not all porn sites are fine with it seeing alot of it in the forums. Idk, just can't work out why it won't work!!!!

Some of the linked images are quite large in file size, so it makes sense for the website to protect itself from the bandwidth drain. A lot of media-heavy websites purchase tiers of bandwidth.
