Not knowing how long a ban is for and why

Sometimes people deliberately do stuff to get banned and thats fair enough. Sometimes its accidental and you never know why code xyzabc whatever means nothing. It would be nice to actually get some form of acknowledgement of how long and why.
I am not grumbling just saying....
Also while I am having a things I don't like rant....why can accounts not be deleted?

Ban lengths are not discussed, because they can vary and people will start abusing the knowledge.

Code is for internal tracking, that's why we request screenshots in Ban Appeal.

Staff has done their best to explain what is what.
